Excerpts from a collection of writings
I was told to never tell my Mom about my experiences. I wanted her to be proud of me and I was terrified of hurting her, I was convinced by well meaning people that it would be too much for her to handle, so I remained silent. When she died, I realized I had lost my greatest advocate and champion. This manuscript was my way to share my journey with her and make peace with some of the many ghosts that haunt me still.

My first attempts at digital video and editing. The premise of the "Invisible Predator" series is to explore video as an expressive medium based on the concept of found object art utilizing stock images, original video, and text to create unique visual representations of trauma, memory and their residual physical manifestations.

Inspired by Project Unbreakable

I was floored when Unbreakable first emerged, I was so proud of all the survivors who came forward and shared their voices.
Unbreakable focused on the words of the perpetrator held by the survivor. I became fascinated with the power of words; the inherent betrayal in the words uttered by those we first tell, those who are meant to protect us, as well as the words we silently use to describe ourselves. I thought about how we are scarred by those words, and carry them with us forever.
This, simply put, is an exploration of my own identity as a survivor.
